چکیده

This study presents a case of molar with unusual anatomy in a 21-year old female patient a case of a maxillary first molar with a canal configuration which hasn’t been report in the literature two roots (MB and P) and three root canals (MB1, MB2 and P). Radiographic examination disclosed an unusual anatomical configuration of the roots, suggesting that two roots might be present. The use of magnification enhanced the ability to detect the MB2 canal and the treatment was based on precise observation of pulp chamber floor. Follow-up radiographs demonstrated the maintenance of a functional tooth.

Endodontic Retreatment of a Maxillary First Molar with Unusual Palatal Root Canal Morphology: A Case Report

Introdouction: Variations in root canal morphology pose a challenge for successful endodontic treatment. The root canal anatomy of the maxillary first molar has been often described as three roots with four canals (two mesiobuccal, one distobuccal, and one palatal). The occurrence of two palatal canals in one palatal root is quite rare. This report represents the case of a maxillary first molar...

Case Report: Permanent Maxillary First Molar with Two Roots and Two Canals: A Rare Case Report

Abstract: Human maxillary first molars are usually considered as three-rooted teeth with four root canals for the presence of a second canal in the Mesio Buccal root (MB2). In addition, lateral ramifications and apical delta of the root canal system may frequently occur, increasing the probability of leaving untreated spaces after the root canal therapy. A thorough knowledge of root canal mor...
